The Second International East-West Cancer Symposium


Kyung Hee University East West Neo Medical Center(EWNMC) held the 2nd International East-West Cancer Symposium on March 27 and 28 at the convention center of Sheraton Walkerhill hotel with 300 people attended.

This symposium was opened after the first Evidence-based Medicine(EBM) Symposium on Cancer Treatment which was held on last September. It was co-hosted by Cancer Center of EWNMC and East West Neo Medical Laboratory under the supports of WHO(World Health Organization).

The Second International East-West Cancer Symposium was held under the title of ‘Connessione for evidence-based Medicine(EBM) on Cancer Treatment’. Great scholars from foreign countries such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, the United States, and Russia attended the symposium and joined the discussion. Moreover, the symposium announced the results of EBM and present situation on cancer treatment of the world leading colleges and medical institutions.

The symposium has served as a momentum to suggest Connessione model that has evaluated Chinese medicine’s treatment means with methodology of Biostatistics for Chinese medicine EBM.

Cancer Center of EWNMC will expand joint research with professors of foreign leading colleges including UCLA professors who have already participated. It will hand out announced research results to SCI(Science Citation Index) research papers.
