¡®ÀÌ¡¯, ¡®±×¡¯, and ¡®Àú' indicate the physical or mental proximity of an item relative 

 to the speaker and the listener and are used to refer to something in terms of 

its position in relation to that of the speaker and the listener. While 'ÀÌ(this)' is 

 used to refer something near to speaker, '±×(that)' is used to refer something 

near listener. 'Àú('that' over there) is used to refer something away from both 

speaker and listener. They are always followed by a noun like ¡®ÀÌ »ç¶÷¡¯, ¡®±×»ç 

¶÷¡¯, and ¡®Àú »ç¶÷' or 'ÀÌ Ã¥¡¯, ¡®Àú Ã¥¡¯ or '±× Ã¥¡®.
