The 7th old maps exhibition for children to be held


Kyung Hee University(KHU) Hyejung Museum will hold 'The 7th Old Maps Exhibition for Children' under the title of 'Open a Sea Root from Colombine to Majori!' from February 27 to August 31.

As it is the first exhibition for children hosted by university museum, it has 20 original maps which was made 17~18 century, discovery era. Children can understand it more easily because it was prepared according to their point of view.

Oh Ill-hwan, professor of KHU Hyejung Museum said "The exhibition has some programs to learn the production background and use of old maps and simple plays. It will make children understand the importance of old maps. Moreover, there is an opportunity to make a map by themselves."

Opening hours are from Monday to Friday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. If you make a reservation in advance, you can have an opportunity to make maps with the teaching of instructor. To reserve and get more information, call 031-201-2013~4 or visit http://oldmaps.khu.ac.kr.
