The 2007 entrance and welcome ceremony for freshmen


Kyung Hee University(KHU) held an entrance ceremony for freshmen in the Grand Peace Palace of Seoul campus and Peace Amphitheater of Suwon campus respectively on February 28 at 10 a.m. This year, the freshmen total 5,397 including 2,692 in Seoul and 2,705 in Suwon.

Especially, the 2007 welcome ceremony for freshmen held in the Grand Peace Palace of Seoul campus at 3 p.m. was performed jointly with Seoul and Suwon campuses. It was held on the subject of ‘Understanding and Combination’ to inspire self-confidence and love for school, strengthen homogeneity and active exchange between campuses.

Grand Peace Palace where both entrance and welcome ceremony were held had a Kyung Hee photo exhibition and Kyung Hee symbol photo zone. On that day, Choue In-won, president of KHU attended in the ceremony with Park Chan-bup, director of Alumni presenting school badges to freshmen. There were several interesting programs for about 2 hours such as undergraduates’ Nanta, hip-hop, and musical performances and cheering squad and a concert of SuperJunior and Babyvox Re.V. who are students of the University.

This welcome ceremony for freshmen is significant because KHU combined ceremonies which had been held separately before on the purpose of build up of harmony and active exchange between campuses. Moreover, it has proved harmony by doing it with all members of the University including president of KHU, director of Alumni, commissioner of the instruction section, and Kyungheeians.
